Two good wins in one week

Softball

Softball has been very successful this week as we have won all 3 of our games. (Wednesday, we beat Canadian International School 8- 6 & last night we defeated Hong Kong International School 26- 9. ICS softball team is earning a reputation of being a very difficult team to defeat. Of particular note is a stand out player, one of his coaches’ refers to him as a “Real Pocket Battleship", as they both share a similar physical characteristic.

In this short season this player has hit 9 home runs in 12 at bats. His other 3 at bats produced only doubles or triples. Fans are buzzing about the length he has hit some balls. One ball he hit allegedly left the earth's atmosphere and is currently orbiting the earth. Apparently the Russians thought the Americans had sent up a new spy satellite and were considering shooting it down!! It doesn’t matter what type of ball is pitched to him – somehow he manages to get a piece of it, to send it sailing past the infielders and over the outside boundary fences.

Now teams are trying to figure how they can stop this dynamic & powerful player.

Firstly, Coaches for Softball are as follows

Practice days are Monday & Wednesday 3.30pm - 5.00pm at Hong Kong Mini League Field
This is Opposite Ronald McDonald House & short walking distance from the Sha Tin Wai MTR station.
Students will be bussed to grounds for practice but will need to make their own way home from practice grounds.

Uniform - students will be issued a playing top & will be required to pay a $150 deposit. This will be returned to the student at the end of the season when uniform is returned. Students may where school PE shorts or softball length pants.

Hopefully, over the next few weeks we will get some match results & reports on games played
